About
One person, one market, one kind of client.
I’m Will Pollert. I build AI call handling and local marketing for home service contractors in Bismarck, Mandan and Lincoln. That’s the whole list — no restaurants, no clinics, no e-commerce.
Why contractors
Because the problem is unusually clear. A contractor’s business runs on inbound calls from people with an urgent, expensive problem, and the better the contractor is, the more of those calls they miss — because they’re on a roof, under a sink, or in a crawlspace. Nobody is sitting by the phone. That gap is measurable, it’s worth real money, and almost nothing else in small business marketing is that concrete.
Why AI first
I used to lead with websites and SEO, same as everybody else here. The trouble with that order is that it takes ninety days to prove anything, and in the meantime the phone is still ringing into nothing. Putting an AI receptionist on first inverts it: you see the result in week one, from calls you were already getting and already losing.
It also happens to be the thing nobody in this market sells. There are roughly nine marketing agencies based in Bismarck. They do good work. None of them is doing this.
Where I am right now
Honestly: early. Prozpect Pro is a young company and I’d rather tell you that than pretend to a track record I don’t have yet. I have real clients, I’ll name them, and you can call any of them. What I don’t have is a wall of case studies, and I’m not going to invent one — in a town this size, with contractors who all know each other, fabricated proof would be the dumbest possible trade.
What I offer instead is the thing a bigger agency structurally can’t: you get the owner, every time. My cell number is on the agreement. If something breaks at seven at night, you text me, not a ticket queue.
If I work with a roofer in Bismarck, I don’t take another one. That’s written into the agreement. It caps how big this can get, which is a deliberate choice — I’d rather have ten clients I can name than a hundred I can’t.
How I work
- ✓ Month to month. Nothing here is an annual agreement.
- ✓ Flat fees. I never take a percentage of your ad spend.
- ✓ You own every asset — site, domain, profile, ad account, phone numbers, recordings.
- ✓ You approve how the AI sounds before a single customer hears it.
- ✓ I’ll tell you when you don’t need something. That happens more than you’d expect.
The part I’m not going to oversell
AI answering your phone is not magic and it doesn’t replace being good at your trade. It won’t fix a business that can’t staff the work it already has — and in a metro with essentially zero unemployment, that’s a real situation for a lot of contractors here. If that’s you, say so on the call. There’s a version of this that helps (qualifying harder so you stop driving to estimates that were never going to close) and a version that just makes you busier and more miserable. I’d rather sell you the first one or nothing.
